XEffects Neon Text is a free title plugin for Final Cut Pro that emulates a flickering neon sign being turned on.
The plugin can be modified to enter your own text, as can the colour, the glow and the flashing. The reflectivity of the floor and its position can also be adjusted to get the perfect look.
There is as also an optional camera move that slowly spins around the Y axis to give the scene depth.
You will have to install a custom font (Beon) that is included in the download.
This plugin will only work with Final Cut Pro 10.6 or higher
1) Unzip the downloaded package
2) Install the free Beon font by clicking on the Beon.otf file in the beon folder
3) Move the XEffects Free titles folder to:
Movies / Motion Templates / Titles
4) Restart Final Cut Pro
5) Find XEffects Free/XEffects Neon Text in the Titles Browser
6) Or open the templates with Motion and publish
