Adam Taylor from Character Options kindly sent us three examples of Volumetrix in action. I'll let Adam pickup the story:-

A little info about Character Options - Character Options are one of the UK's top Toy & Game manufacturers/distributors. All our TV ads are produced in-house allowing us greater creative freedom to develop and enhance our many campaigns. It also allows us to integrate video and audio to a greater degree with our website and to produce more powerful, focused sales material for our sales team, on dvd and also built-into powerpoint presentations.

All the post-production is done by myself, using Mac's, running FCP, After Effects, Shake, Motion and I use Digidesign Protools for audio work. I also can't praise my PMC speakers highly enough.

The first example is intended as a dvd front-end animation. It was made using Volumetrix for the text effects in Motion, and for the rest I used After Effects 7 to add an extra level of light refractions.

Roc Writer is another demo I created for London ToyFair 2007 back in January. The product is a set of felt tips, each with 3 colours in the tip. Again, the ability to use a multicoloured volumetrix wipe was too tempting to ignore. Its a great plug-in for getting fast and impressive results.
